“New World Bible Translation Committee” name stripped from “New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures” ‘FOREWORD’.
Publisher, Watchtower Inc., of New York, has removed the Committee’s name from the FOREWORD of it’s 1984 ‘New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures–With References’ [online version] (see) https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1001060000.
Whilst in the ‘1984’ print version of the same work [the identical work] there the Committee responsible, for it, is it’s FOREWORD signed off, on, by “New World Bible Translation Committee”.
Watchtower made the Committee name reappear in the FOREWORD of Jehovah’s Witnesses’ 2013 – so called New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures; while the committee responsible for the work are in_no way shape or form. Responsible for the 1984 works.
If Jehovah’s Witnesses’ deceased members, are responsible for the 1984 original print version, [as rumour to that effect they let stand], why have they removed the name in which they – did the original works to transfer it to their 2013 version? When Jehovah’s Witnesses (JW’s) former Watchtower presidents, Knorr, Franz, & co. are the rumoured original ‘committee’, signing off on the 1984 foreword and died before the turn of the century.
The 2013 ‘committee’ freely acknowledge they (are) JW’s, caused the 1984 ‘committee’ [they are anonymous,] to be airbrushed from the history of the Translation (when in fact the inalienable paternity/intellectual property rights to the Translation are vested in it’s original ‘committee’).
Begs ~ the question: Who is responsible for the original ‘1984 New World Translation’ that they can; by it’s publisher; be removed from the_fact of it’s translation?
For (a) purpose of it’s publisher to then misappropriate the ‘Committee’s’ name for Watchtower’s 2013 version claiming it a ‘Revision’ of the 1984 works.
How can it revise what it logically/demonstrably is not_responsible for writing in the 1st instance?
‘Rewrite’ is a lawful way to describe the exercise.
